Anti – Estrogen Canadian steroid from Newport Canada. It is also known as a selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD). Fulvestrant is used to treat metastatic breast cancer, most often after other hormone drugs (like tamoxifen and often an aromatase inhibitor) have stopped working. It is given by injections into the buttocks.
After a cycle of pro-hormones and steroids, the male testes tend to shrink and lower natural production and the use of anti–estrogens helps reverse this effect faster than natural recovery alone. The first are anti-aromatase agents, which limit the aromatase enzyme that converts testosterone to estrogen.
Testosterone supplements may lead to sterility. But prescription estrogen blockers, such as clomiphene (Clomid), can restore hormone balance without affecting fertility. Some medications known as selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) may also be used to block estrogen in men.
